My parents were farmers. My mother taught me about selfless service and my father taught me about hard work. My father is a Methodist Pastor and always reminds us of Micah 6:8. Seek justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God. My mother passed away, but the values she instilled in me live on.
I'm the youngest of six children who all joined the Army. I entered Ranger school at 19. It was tough, but not as tough as being raised by a mother of six. My values were grounded in my faith and my strength was reinforced by my family.
I'm an Iraq war veteran. I was proud to come home to the community that raised me after serving my country.
As a rural community we look out for each other. If you send me to Des Moines I will fight for you. I believe the best stewards of our resources are the families that worked hard to create them. I'm an Army Ranger and I'm not afraid of hard work. I will go to bat for rural Iowa and ensure we are seeing fair returns on our investments.
We need to protect rural Iowa. I would be proud to serve you and humbly ask for your vote on November 6th.
